Mom had said Akane could go that party as long as she did extra chores throughout the next week or so.
Hatsumi rolled over and patted around her bedside table to find her watch, her hazy vision focusing on it's face only to discover it was well past lunchtime.
Almost yelping in alarm she threw back the subtle pink cover and threw herself out of bed.
"Oh i'm going to be sooo late!" She whinned, throwing off her light blue PJ's decorated with the slogan HG on the pockets in a darker blue, she rumaged through her drawers and wardrobe for something half decent to wear.
"Shinogu will be so mad if I'm late..." She threw out a cream baggy sweater from her lowest drawer, shortly followed by an almost knee length khaki coloured skirt with a sort of frill around the bottom and long comfy socks in cream to match the jumper. Now she just needed a smaller top to wear under the sweater incase it got too warm. Ah-ha, the cute plain-coloured light pink vest top she purchased last week but hadn't known what to wear it with yet.
She threw on her outfit and pulled on her usual coat, combing her hair through quickly as she dashed out the door calling behind her:
"Bye mom, I'm off to Shinogus. I'll be back tonight."
"That's strange." Hatsumis mother pondered, "Shinugo never mentioned he was meeting up with Hatsumi today."
Hatsumi neared Shinogus new appartment...she had found it quite easily this time, after nearly getting lost for the most part of an hour last time.
She raised her had to ring the doorbell...her hand lightly shaking, though she was unsure why exactly, and presed the little button. A chimming could be heard from within the building, followed by a little shuffeling and finally the door swung open, revealing who she once saw as her brother...
He looked at her a little confused, his rich brown hair was sleek and wet, plastered to the sides of his face like a frame as small dropplets of water feel to his shoulders and continued down his smooth exposed torsoe.
"What are you doing here?" He said a little miffed, one hand clinging to corners of a towel he'd wrapped about his lower half so as to prevent it slipping open.
"I...I thought we were supposed to be eatting together and talking about your plans to move again." She choked out, trying to resist washing her eyes over his slippery wet body. She felt her cheeks burn and bashfully looked away from him completely.
"you said one thirty at your place...on thursday..."
She felt her face redden more when he laughed lightly and patted a hand against her head in a brotherly fashion, "You're early...It's only 12:30!" He remarked.
She looked at him then at her watch, "It says here it's 1:30...i'm late." She declared.
Laughing again and this time ruffling her hair he filled her in that last night the clocks had gone backwards for the daylights saving. "Didn't you get my text message?" He questioned, his head gesturing in the direction of her bag where she usually kept it.
"No, i lent my phone to Akane last night...She'd gone to a party and i thought she might need it if something happened."
She twiddled her thumbs as Shinogu praised her for being so caring, when she realised they'd been stood on the doorstep for quite sometime and Shin must be freezing by now, that and she was aware of neighbours begining to peep through their windows at him.
Stepping up with intention to gently guide back into the house she tripped on the door matt and stumbled into him clumsily, his arms suddenly cascading around her small frame to stop her falling further.
She began to tingle ever so slightly in his firm embrace, her cheek pressed hard against his wet chest and his hot breath blowing heavily on the top of her head.
After what seemed like forever he finally loosened his grip, stepping back a couple of paces. "Be careful Hatsumi." He smiled in that special way at her, and closed the door behind her before taking leave to the bathroom so he could finish his shower.
"I'll be out soon." He called.
Hatsumi just sat in an almost state of shock in the living room, trying to calm her rapidly beating heart and breathing. "All i did was trip!" she whispered to herself.
